Windows Update Help

Andrew

On Sunday, 12/14/03, I installed the latest Microsoft
update that came out on Saturday. When the computer
rebooted, it will not start-up fully. When the Windows
logo appears, it the blue bar loads up and when the
welcome screen would normally appear and prompt me for a
password, the screen flashes and the machine reboots. I
cannot boot in safe mode or the "last known good
configuaration." Both of these boot modes result in the
same outcome. Please help. I am interested if it is
possible to remove the update via DOS. Thanks.

Andrew;
Try a Repair Installation:
Repair Installation:

Windows Updates will need to be reinstalled.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
Install Service Pack first and by itself.
Then install ALL Critical Updates no more than 4 at a time,

Disconnect the network/modem cable before starting repair and do NOT
reconnect the cable until repair is completed and firewall is
installed/enabled.
