Hi 123,
1- Try to Repair your Windows Update Engine, to do that follow these steps
to
re-register the DLLs by opening a Run Command and type these Commands
one-by-one and click [Enter] or [OK] or you can copy and paste in a
Notepad
and Save the File as *[register.bat]:
regsvr32 atl.dll
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 inetcomm.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
regsvr32 cryptsvc.dll
regsvr32 dssenh.dll
regsvr32 qmgr.dll
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
net start wuauserv
Open a Run command and type in:
C:\register.bat click [OK] and run the the file.
2- Again try to open a Run command and type in:
services.msc click [OK].
On the services locate these services and stop them from runing:
BITS OFF
Automatic Updates OFF
Also you can type in the Run command:
net stop WuAuServ
Restart the computer then open the Run command and type in:
%windir% click [OK] on the Windows Explorer find this folder and rename
it toSoftwareDistributionOLD:
C:\windows\SoftwareDistribution
Open the Run command and type in:
net start WuAuServ
Reboot your computer and try the Windows Updates.
3- ... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete
cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
Reboot your computer Twice then Start the Updates.
Please perform one step (1,2,3) at a time and try the windows updates
engine.
HTH.
