Windows Update Fails

Where I work is having some problems downloading the
updates from the windows site. They used to download then
would fail to install and now the updates will not even
download. This is happening on Win 98 and XP Pro
machines. We are using a Novell network, could that be
part of the reason? If you can help me out please do,
this is getting very frustrating trying to deal with this
issue. Thanks.
