Windows Update and Netgear MR814V2 wireless router

I have just spent 3 hours with a client where we had
previously intalled a wireless network. I have done many
with Netgear equipment and never had a problem.

This one will NOT run Windows Update via the MR814V2
wireless router. We switched out the router and went
direct through the DSL Modem and it works. Via the router
neither Windows Update nor Quicken on-line banking works.

It sounds like its an SSL problem but I am short of ideas
why the Netgear would block SSL?

Any ideas anyone?

Are the router settings the same as the other routers you have dealt with?

Well to answer your question I guess its yes and no.

The modem information is similar to other DSLs I have done and I used MAC
address security this time, but I cannot find any SSL settings or anything
else that could fowl it up!
