Windows unable to load up

I've got a laptop, and lil sis accidentally did some changes to
hardware/software and windows dows not seem to be able to load!!

there was options where windows safe mode, windows with prompt command, load
windows normally, load windows with last working settings...

all options could not load windows

is there a way to load windows without reformatting thus not losing any
files??

The only way to do that is through making a network with another computer by
example through the firewire port. The other computer can then get your
files and after that the only thing is reformatting the laptop.

To be 100% safe, I'd pull the data off that laptop drive. This is easily
done by putting the drive in an external enclosure (or using a laptop
drive adapter) and attaching it to a working XP box. Copy the data off
and burn to CD/DVD-R.

The next step would be to do a repair install of Windows on your laptop.

Also, do you get any error messages at all? If so, quote the error
message exactly. What did "lil sis" do?
