I have installed extra fonts in the C:\WINDOWS\ Fonts folder. Unfortunately,
I think too many. I want to remove the new fonts but not touch the True Type
fonts origially installed by Windows (XP).
How can I get a list of the original True Type Fonts please?

Start | Run | Type: fonts | Click OK |
View menu | Details

In Details view Font Name will show (TrueType) and Filename will show the
..ttf extension.

Thanks very much for the info, it was very useful.
I don't know why I can't find this kind of information when I trawl the
Microsoft site, I must be inserting the wrong words!
In the end I discovered that when you delete fonts ,Windows stops you from
deleting the essential ones. So that's what I did. Then, I reinstalled the
fonts supplied with XP from the XP disc. Fantastic. And I was right, I had
installed far too many Fonts. This had had the effect of seriously slowing
the start up of lots of programs using fonts. Including Adobe Acrobat pdf
Reader !

Use Advanced Search
http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1

and use The exact phrase entered. Otherwise you get 200 hits and 195 of
them have nothing to do with what you're searching for. ;-)
