Help needed please.
I had a problem with my computer shutting down & restarting with a message
saying a serious error occurred tell microsoft about the problem which I
did.I think the problem was caused by an overloaded folder in "My Pictures"
which I have now split up.I got a reply suggesting I downloaded a programme
Intel(R)82810Egraphics controller which I attempted & all hell broke loose.
All windows & icons expanded to about 4times the size & no longer fit the
screen making the computer almost unusable.I panicked & tried to remove it
but no difference.I went to system restore only to find it switched off??
Now on startup I get a found new hardware wizard window(bigger than the
screen). I try to install it but it stops on " the file 'i81xnt5.sys'on
intel(R)graphics technology driver is needed.Type the path where located".
The system is also very slow.
I tried to contact Microsoft who told me politely to try Microsoft UK who
told me politely to try here & here I am.
Thank you in anticipation.

1st try right clicking an empty spot on the desktop and check the resolution
under settings....try upping the resolution slightly. If this fixes your
problem stop there
Then under Hardware/device manager/display adaptors...go to the drivers
section and "roll back" to the previous driver....or uninstall the driver
under Control Panel/Add&remove.....then uninstall the Video Controller under
Display Adaptors...and reboot.XP will redect the controller and load or ask
for drivers at which point you direct it to the downloaded file. This should
remove any conflict between old/new drivers. You also at this point need to
adjust the resolution again.
