I downloaded a Word file, worked on it, then Saved it, and now for the life
of me can't find it. Have done multiple searches in C:, Desktop and elsewhere
but can't seem to locate it. I know that downloaded files are saved to Temp,
but I can't seem to find the Temp files.

Thanks so much, I'm sure this is totally rudimentary stuff...

Hi juillet66,

Your temp folder is a hidden folder. So you need to unhide it.
Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View (tab) & Select the Show hidden
files and folders option.
The folder is found at C:\Documents and Settings\<your-login-name>\Local
Settings\Temp\

Good luck,

Stop using those paper phone message pads
make the computer work for you.

Look in: C:\Documents and Settings\UserProfile\Local Settings\Temp
Make the folders visible in Tools\Folder Options\View\mark "Show all hidden
files and folders"

To use Windows Search and increase the chances of finding the file, type the
file type termination which is ".doc" for Wird.. all word files will be
found.
