I just bought a new computer that came with XP Home. After
a while of remaining logges on, even if I am not using it,
explorer.exe in windows task manager, slowly but
inevitable increases the mem usage until the computer
slows to a virtual stop. CPU usage doesn't change much,
but I just looked at it and I had an error saying windows
was increasing my paging file because resources were low.
Explorer.exe was using over 530 MB!!!!! I have 640MB RAM
with a 2.2 Celeron processor and 160 GB hard drive. This
should not be happening. Rebooting is the only to clear it
but it will count up again... HELPPPPP
Thanks,
Drew
