Windows takes a long time to load personal settings

My PC works OK. But it takes a long time for it to load my personal settings
when I sign into my account.

It takes about 90-120 settings before the PC loads these settings - and
thereafter my PC is fine. But this delay (when nothing much appears to be
happening e.g. no disk activity) is annoying.

I'm running the latest updates.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Change your profile to a local profile as it's prob set to a roaming
profile. Control Panel\System\Advanced\User Profiles- click Settings.

Is the computer on a domain, Workgroup, or standalone? Do clean-boot
troubleshooting to determine what is starting that is taking so long.
You may have something set to start in your account that is failing and
then timing out.
