Every time I connect to the internet regardless of which
ISP I use or occassionally even after extended periods
just having the computer on, it says windows has had an
unexpected remote procedure call terminate and must shut
down. I cannot get online to get an update because the
computer shuts down. One time I had a pop up that said
something about windows messenget has a problem on all
windows except windows 2000 and that my computer is
affected and causes something to overflow and makes the
computer shut down. Before I could read it all, the
computer shut down.

Any suggestions or software that I can get would be
appreciated.

I just reformatted my hard drive after a virus wiped me out and decided to put windows xp on it. The cd had me download msn which is my isp anyway. Now the computer is doing just what the other guy is saying. It tries to run an update then restarts and continues to run the same update. I also get the little message boxes telling me I have spyware and wanting me to download other updates. So how did I get a blaster worm within 30 minutes of installing windows xp. Is it from MSN as that is when my other system started getting weird. I tried to download the patches to get rid of the worm and other updates but they will not run and I cannot get Norton back on either as there is some software conflict. This is a nightmare.
