windows shut down

Can anyone tell me why my windows xp pro will not shut
down past the "SAVING SETTINGS" screen,I have to shut
down manually.
 
In Device Manager check to see that
Under 'Computer', you should hav
Advanced Configuration and Power Interfac

If not check the relevant settings for this feature in your BIOS
