Windows shut down time

Guest

Whenever I try to restart/shut down my computer it takes up to 2 minutes to
shut down/restart. On the "turn off computer" screen it'll stay there for 2
minutes and then it will shut down/restart. Can anyone help me with this
problem?
Thank You =)

Hi,

Look at the running processes and programs using Task Manager, try manually
closing them before invoking shutdown to see if you can isolate which is
causing the delay.

First step would be to use Task Manager as Rick adviced, this helps to
identify the "application" which is causing this problem. Additionally, see
if Logoff also takes the same delay. If shutdown is only causing the delay
(but logoff is fast), this might be due to a Service also. For additional
