Windows Shut down problem

My WinXP Pro just installed did updates but now when I go
to shut down it will not shut down but restarts everytime.
Help

You may need to just hold the power button in for several seconds.

Hi Jeff,

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
