windows shut down blue screen while on internet

I need help when I get on the internet with msn and try
to go to any site I get a blue screen window that says
windows shutting down you have 60 seconds to save files
and close prog. and then my computer shuts down. I have
windows xp on an HP system. Any Thoughts?
