Windows shows the wrong hard drive capacity

Hi I purchased a 180gb hd and windows displays it as a 150 only, I know that
there is a way to get the computer to recoginize the other 30 gigs. I forgot
how though. Please point me in the right direction :)
I am running windows xp home

I do not know about a 150Gb limit. There is a limit at 137Gb as well as number
of lower limits. See

limits and workarounds.

250GB --- 232.83 GB

Now - you should get more than 150GB.. How is it partitioned?
