windows service pack 1 update disabled my mouse

I installed the service pack update rebooted my computer
and now my mouse will not work. In the device manager it
says that it is working properly. I uninstalled the
device and restarted the computer and it will still not
work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

For Ps/2 mouse, try unplug it from the computer than
shutdown. Re-pulg the mosue and re-start windows.
For USB mouse, try the hot plug, i.e. fastly unplug and
than replug the USB mouse.
