Windows Search could not start

Hi,
I had a hard disk failure on a hard disk. Unfortunately the index files of
Windows Search where located on this drive. I replaced the hard disk (same
drive letter) but Windows Search could not start anymore.
I have this error message :
---------------------------
Services
---------------------------
Windows could not start the Windows Search on Local Computer. For more
information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service,
contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code
-2147218141.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I tried to recreate manually the folder structure for the indexes but it
doesn't help. I cannot rebuild the index files because Indexing Options says
: "Index is not running" so I cannot configure it. As you know, I cannot
start it :-( So it's deadlock :-(

Can you help me ?

Thank you for your help,

Lets start the indexing service then.

Make sure you're logged on as Administrator.

Type services in the search box in the Start Menu and click Services in the
search results.

Look for the Windows Search service and double-click it.

Make sure the Startup type is set to Automatic.

If it's stopped click Start. If it's running stop it and re-start the
service.

Make sure you click Apply or OK to save the changes.

I cannot change the location because the indexing service is not running.

Thank you for your reply but please read my first post. I cannot start the
windows search service that's the problem.
From CMD prompt :
C:\>net start wsearch
The Windows Search service is starting.
The Windows Search service could not be started.

A service specific error occurred: 2147749155.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.

C:\>net helpmsg 3547

A service specific error occurred: ***. (I like this kind of error)
