Windows Resource Kit Download May Have A Virus

Just downloaded and installed the Windows Resource Kit 2003 on my XP SP1
computer. Towards the end of the installation, Norton Internet Security
(version 2003) then reared its ugly head and claimed that a malicious script
was found in msiexec.exe. So, I followed the recommended approach of
stopping the script because I did not want to chance acquiring a virus. The
installation then continued without further incident. Have not tried
rebooting yet to see if the install went ok. I ran a scan for viruses
afterwards and Norton did not report any problems.

I searched Norton's log files on my computer for any additional info, but
did not see any mention of the alert. Also went to Norton's site and
searched their knowledge base, and found some problems with msiexec, but
nothing about the resource kit. Same results when I searched the newsgroups
via Google and here to see if anyone else has reported a problem with this.
Do you think it might be a good idea for someone at Microsoft to take a look
at the download and make sure it does not have a virus?
