Windows reboot problem

I had a virus on my system, used McAfee to get rid of it and since then I
have had nothing but problems. My system will go into reboot at will.
However, when I try to install a program I downloaded, I get a message that
my system needs to reboot because a previous installation has pending work
requiring a reboot and that I should restart, but no matter how many times I
do it or it goes into reboot by itself, I keep getting the same message and
the same problem. Any ideas?

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Locate and delete any PendingFileRenameOperations values in the key.
Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
Quit Registry Editor.

I get all of the way into the session manager and the only thing that shows
up on the right is under name ab(default) under type REG_SZ and Data not set.
Is this the one I want to delete? Thank you for your help

Strart the computer in safe mode with networking(tap f8 when you start
computer and choose safe mode with networking and hit enter)and work in ms
office and try to connect to inernet with msn (You can only connect to
internet,if you are using cable to connect to internet). In this mode if
computer gets restart than it could be the hardware problem or u can
uninstall and reinstall these two softwares.
If computer dosenot restart .Than it means that could be the problem of
system file due which computer is restarting in normal mode.Click on
start--run--msconfig--put check mark on selective startup and uncheck every
enty below to it.And than see you computer get restart or not.If not, than
put check mark in front of every entry one by one and see after checking
which entry computer gets restart.
