Windows Question Beep

When Internet Explorer produces a QUESTION box, it used to play a WAV file
that I had specified. Now it does an internal speaker Beep. Not sure what has
changed. All my other sounds work fine, just not this one.
Ideas?

Click on Start | Run, type in "devmgmt.msc" without quotes and press Enter.
Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".

Do any of the devices have a yellow "!" next to them?
If so, you might need to reinstall the driver.
