Windows password

Just handed down our replaced computer to our child. The
child changed the password to logon to windows xp, but
can't seem to remember it now. How can I logon at this
point?

Also in the future give the child a Limited Account and control ALL
Administrator accounts to prevent this from occurring in the future.
