Windows Password

I am trying to put a password on my computer and I do not
know how to go about doing so. I have tried to set a
password through MY COMPUTER, but it asks for a old
password....I never had one and it will not let me
override giving that information. If anyone has knowledge
on this, please let me know!

For information about passwords in Windows, I'd suggest asking in a group
related to whatever version of Windows you're using. There are lots of
groups starting microsoft.public.win95, microsoft.public.win98,
