Windows.old folder question

wen i got my free express vista home premium ugrade in the mail and i
installed it i was wondering if i can delete the windows.old folder or is
there some safe way to get rid of it without messing anything up because it
takes up alot of space on my hard drive

You can use Disk Cleanup in Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools to
delete the windows.old folder.

wen i use disc cleanup all it does is clean up other files and it doesnt say
it does anything to delete the windows.old and is it nessesary to have
windows.old folder

I think the entry is "files from a previous operating system", or something
like that. No, windows.old is not a necessary folder. You can delete it.
You may want to see if there are personal documents in it that you would
want to save, though, before removing it.

Might want to keep those files. They will be needed if you ever plan to revert back to XP. If you remove them then you will need a clean full install of XP. Your decision.If you feel that you will not go back then go ahead and delete them.
