"Windows - No Disk" on startup

When rebooting or starting my computer, I get this message box that says
"Windows - No Disk"
There is no disk in drive. Please insert disk into drive.
cancel, try again, continue.

You can click cancel or continue and after a few times clicking it, the
computer continues just fine. Any ideas?

Thanks, Willis

Maybe something it tries to load is corrupted? You could try running chkdsk
/f after you have backed up everything you can't afford to lose.

You may try to set the delay for HDD in the BIOS. This will set a higher
delay for HDD detection.

Thanks Andrew. After posting this I did a disk cleanup and deleted all my
temp files and cookies and the problem hasn't reoccured yet after about 6
reboots/restarts. I will copy your post and keep it just in case.

I am having the same problem and I have to hit cancel 30 times before it goes
away. I hate to sound stupid, but what do you mean by "You may try to set
the delay for HDD in the BIOS. This will set a higher delay for HDD
detection"? How do I do that?

When you restart the computer, right after the keyboard is seen, you
start pecking on the right key and the BIOS menu will open. Hopefully
there will be such an option within the BIOS menu items.

What key to press? Well, sometimes as the computer is starting up,
there will be something on the screen that mentions "Press F2 to enter
Setup", or a similar message. Other common keys are Del, F1, Esc,
Ctrl/S, Ctrl/C.
