Windows - No Disk in Drive

I was in the process of updating Norton, removed old and installed new. I
was having difficulty fully deleting the old Norton and may have said 'Yes'
to some programs that shouldn't have been deleted.

Upon installing and restarting, I got a dialogue box:

Windows - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive. (Cancel, Try
Again, Continue)

I have Windows XP on my PC and thoughts???? Thanks!!
I can't close the box and if I put a disk in it still won't accept it.

If you can get to Safe Mode you could run the restore utility.

If you can't get into Safe Mode or Windows run a Repair Install.

A Repair Install should keep all of your apps and data in place except for the MS
Updates which will have to be reinstalled.

If no joy with the above, one other thing to try would be to fix the mbr (master
boot record) and boot files by running the commands fix /mbr and-or fix /boot.
