Windows & MSN messenger

I want to move over to MSN messenger because of the improved support when
communicating with someone using Windows 98. What is the best way to stop
Windows Messenger from working? Is removing it from Add/Remove Windows
components enough?

In Start --> Run; type or paste the following:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

and follow the instructions on your screen.
