Windows Movie Maker stuffup

When i start up the program, it all works alright until i
go into the title system thing and when i get to the part
when i enter the words for the title, it closes down.
Just disapears, no message or anything. It seems to close
down when it shows the preview. it musn't like it or
something, i also recently installed a codec packadge.
Yeah, anyone recommend some good programs that make good
titles?
