Windows Mobile calendar appointments wont stick...

I don;t know if this the forum for asking technial questions, so sorry if
it's not...

However, i have a Windows XP SP3 machine, running Office 2007 and connecting
via Activesyn 4.5 to a T-Mobile MDA compact iii windows mobile phone.

If i create an outlook calendar entry on the desktop machine, and sync the
phone - it apepars on my phone - if i then change it on the phone (but not on
the desktop), if i then sync the phone - the newly changed appointment resets
back to the orginal desktop set appointment.

Is there any way of changing this - i would even prefer a second appointment
to be added rather than changing the phone.

Outlook has no settings that control the sync process. It is completely
passive duroing a sync. Your sync software completely controls the
operation, so you'd be better off asking in a newsgroup that covers
ActiveSync: microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync

Check using By Category view - there is a bug where recurring appointments
created in outlook and changed on the device won't show in the
Day/Week/Month view. This may be your issue and you do have both, but one
isn't visible in all views. (It was fixed for Exchange server users and
we're awaiting a fix for those who sync from the desktop. )

It actually has to do with how you have the conflicts setup in ActiveSync.
You need to go into manage a partnership and change how conflicts are
handled
