Hey,

I have got reinstalled my Visual Studio 2008 on my computer. After I started
Visual Studio again, I could not create or open a project for Windows Mobile
5.0, although, the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK is installed on the computer. I
also reinstalled the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK on the same computer again,
without any success. In Visual Studio 2005, the WM 5.0 SDK is still
available. But not in Visual Studio 2008. Maybe some of you have an idea why
WM 5.0 SDK shows such a behavior...

There was a bug with the WM 6 SDK when installing VS after the SDK, but I've
never heard of this with WM 5 SDK.

When you create a new device project in VS, what is the default target
device?

Hey Simon,

thanks for your fast reply. The default target device is a PocketPC
2003-device. In the list for available are just "PocketPC 2003", "Windows
CE" and "Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK", but also installed are "Windows
Mobile 5.0 SDK PocketPC" and "Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK Smartphone".

When I try to open a Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC/Smartphone - project in
Visual Studio, Visual Studio tells me, that there is no SDK for that project
available.

I recently had the same issue and could not see my WM5.0 SDKs until I
reinstalled the "R2" WM5.0 SDKs that come on the VS2008 DVD. See this folder
on the DVD for the MagOrcasPPC.msi and MagOrcasSP.msi installers:

\WCU\WindowsMobileSDK

Hope that helps,
Darren
