I downloaded SP2 and have had no problems. Since I downloaded it, I get
popup for Windows Messenger when I restart computer. It wants me to sign up
and I don't want the messenger service. How do I stop the popup each time I
restart the computer?

Helen,

Go to Start--Run--type in msconfig and hit enter. Next, go to the Startup
tab and look in the list and uncheck the startup item referencing messenger.
I believe it's something like C:\Program Files\Messenger. Click Ok and
reboot (optional).

Hope this helps,
Newtechie

If you don't use windows messenger you can unisntall it by using the
following run string:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Hi Helen,

Please note, that Messenger and Messenger Service are totally different.
