Windows Messenger

Willy

Just install XP SP2 and the Windows Messenger shows up in Task Bar near the
clock. I've turned it off in OE6, how do I get rid of it?
 
Double click Icon
Tools > Options > "Preference" tab
Uncheck "Run windows messenger when windows start"
Click OK
Right click icon > Exit
 
That did it Ayush. Now how do I get rid of the bubble notes that pop-up
above those icons over next to clock?

I've got Tweak UI 2.10 & think I got rid of ballon tips by unchecking that
but unlike earlier verson, can't find how to do away with shortcut symbols
on desktop icons.

TweakUI 2.0 / Explorer / Shortcut / make your selection / click
Apply, then OK
