Windows Messenger 8.1 on Vista

Hallo to all, I have just bought a new Notebook ACER Aspire 9423WSMi, Intel
Core 2 Duo (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache) with Window Vista Home
Premium installed. Well as I must say that Vista has really impressed me, I
have found already serious problems to install some software I have in
original (Pinnacle Studio 10 ,Nero 7 Premium, Corel X3) but what is really
getting me crazy is how to install Windows Messenger. I have tried in all
ways but after I have downloaded it, a message of error pops up and closes
the program. Can any one of you give me suggestion and drive me trough the
way of applicate any modify I should do to make it work? Thanks in advance

there is a service pack 1 and service pack 2 for corel 13
You need to install both. Service pack 2 supposedly fixes vista problems.

For messenger go to the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.live.messenger
Jonathan Kay (MVP) is the king of messenger..

makes the program not run correctly.

P.S. I am Italian and the message is in italian.
Messenger ha smesso di funzionare. Si è verificato un problema che impedisce
il corretto funzionamento del programma.

Hallo, the message appears in a small window and says that " Messenger has
stop functioning. A problem occured which dosn't allowed the program to
function correctly.

P.S. I am italian and the mesage of course is in italian
