Windows Messenger 5/Remote Assistance

I combed through the newsgroups and couldn't find
anything specifc, so I am hoping someone can help answer
my question:

We are rolling out Windows Messenger v5 to all users so
that we can use Exchange IM, in addition to Passport. I
don't see an option to Offer/Request Remote Assistance in
this version of Windows Messenger. I'm assumming it was
removed, although I don't understand why they would.
Anyone know for certain?

Jonathan,

Thanks for the quick reply. That's what is most
confusing- we're all on Windows XP. We're using Windows
Messenger 5.0.0468. I searched through Group Policy and
Local Policy looking for a setting that might disable
this feature, but cannot find anything. In fact, our
domain GPO doesn't even offer any messenger settings.
Remote Desktop/Remote Assistance is enabled on the
computers I'm using.

I also tried not signing into Exchange and just using my
Passport account, thinking perhaps the feature is
disabled when used in conjunction with Exchange, but it
did not make a difference.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. One of the
reasons I was looking forward to Windows XP was it's
built-in Messenger, and Remote Assistance feature (makes
life in IT so much simpler). Thanks.
