Windows media versus XP Pro

Is there any reason (actual functions not available) why I would not choose
Windows XP Professional over Windows Media? By that I mean I don't care
about a better interface or remote control for media watching as long as I
can watch/listen to TV or other media.

XP Pro is better than Media Center, even though Media Center is based
on XP Pro.

But, do you mean you're going to be watching TV through your PC?

When I worked in tech support, rarely did anyone have Media Center and,
when they did, it always seemed to have quirky problems.

How about just watching TV through your TV and use your computer for
computer things? (This always seems to work the best.)
