I have got WMP but don't know how to create a shortcut for
it on my toolbar. Currently the only way I can open it is
to click on a music or video file or via the Help &
Support facility.

Could anyone advise how to create a shortcut for it?
 
Click on Start>Programs then scroll down to Windows Media
Player & right click on it >send to>desktop create
shortcut. This will place an icon for Media player on your
desktop. To put an icon on your toolbar, simply right
click and hold the icon and drag it to your toolbar.
