Larry

Hello,

I recently had my computer hardware updated. Still
running XP Profession (I am very much an amateur). The
person who did the work downloaded RealPlayer. Since
then I cannot get Windows Media Player as the default,
even though I have seemingly deleted RealPlayer. What
steps do I take to get Windows Media Player as the
default.

Thanks in advance.

Open wmp, tools, options,in file types tab, select all.
Edit the other tabs as needed.

Hi Larry,
listen once you delete real player also delete media player
and then go back and re-download media player. When the
intallation wizzard ask for your default make media player
your default. This will automaticlly change all your media
files over to fit media player unless all your downloaded
media was done with real player, if it was yopu will have
to go back and get it again. Real player codes recordings
and other files it creates where you can only use them in
real player.

I hope this info helps you, I've been on the web a long
time, if you need help, email me @
(e-mail address removed) I'm on line most of the time
I work on line, seeya!

Larry
