Hey, i just rebuilt my system with xp pro. After dooing so i updated win.
media player 8 to 9. i then proceded to try and watch a wmp 9 formated movie
and had problems playing it. when i try to play it it plays verry slowly and
the sound is nothing but static. ive tryed reinstalling it, i even tried the
wmp 10 betta release. notheing worked. it will play the older vid clips but
not the 9 ones. it also has trouble with some formats of music. Any
advice??? thanks.

10 is not a beta release. the latest for windows media player is
10.0.0.3646

Go to the MS download page and upgrade to that one.
