Windows Media Player

B

Brendan Tuck

When listening to a radio station using Windows Media
Player, it keeps losing a connection with the following
error message - C00D0005

Does anyone know what the cause/solution is?

Many Thanks

As a side note:
I'm using XP with Media Player 9.0

On a few mpgs that I play, the slider bar goes to the end and the movie
stops, but there's still more movie to play.
If I use the arrow key to move the slider backwards, I can see the rest of
the movie but only in stills.
It seems like there's more movie than media player can play.

Anyone have any ideas why and what I can do about it?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

You might want to post this to the windows media player newsgroup:

microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer

Yes, I did that but not only no response, but that group looks like a ghost
town.
Thank you anyway.

It's so strange what Media Player does to just a few movies. It takes the
slider bar about a minute to get to the end but the movie is so much longer.
I can only view the first minute or so of certain movies.

Maybe it was how it was created by the originator of the movie and not my
player??

Sorry bob, I don't know. I've not run into that problem. That is
strange though.
