Whenever i try to open windows media player the computer just dings and it never opens, does this mean i have a virus or something, or is some thing just messed up on the computer?
Are you having any other problems? Are other programs opening and running
*without* problems? Do you just have this isolated problem when you attempt
to open Windows Medial Player?

I had the same problem. For me it was a virus. The file
is replaced with the same filename, wmplayer.exe, so at
first i was a little confused, so i ran a opened up task
manager and noticed it was running but i wasnt using WMP
so i ended the process and ran a virus scan. Thats what it
was. So I had to end up reinstalling the program.
