I am having a problem with the Windows Media Player
freezing up Win2000 whenever it starts to play a video.
The only solution then is a hard reboot. I originally
started out with Version 7.1 and then upgraded to Version
9, which is when the problems began. I then used
Add/Remove Programs to roll back to the original version,
which then had the same problems. I have tried
reinstalling both versions several times and can not get
either to work. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

The only thing I could recommend is to make sure all your codec drivers are
up to date. I haven't had MP lock up but I have see the video freeze even
though the sound was still playing. Make sure you have the latest DivX
driver. On the DivX downloads page, there is a free driver towards the
bottom of the page.
