when trying to stream media from the internet i get a error message "Your
computer is running low on memory. Quit other programs, and then try again."
can anyone help me with a solution to this problem.

Add more memory. :-)

Have you set limits on the size of the page file? Check Control
Panel ... System ... Advanced ... Performance ... Advanced ...
Virtual Memory -- if you have set an upper limit on virtual memory,
removing it might fix the problem, assuming you have free disk
space.

What are the processes running? Have you tried close other applications,
background programs etc?
