When media player is opened, and you click the file tab, it shows the last 9
or 10 files that have been opened using media player. My question is, how do
you delete these, or set it so it does'nt show your most recently opened
files? Thanks

Information is stored in the Registry at:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\RecentFileList

Just select each one and delete it.

Try Tools, Options, Click on Privacy Tab
Click "Clear History"
You might deselect "Save File and URL history in the player"
