Windows Media Player won't play wavs burnt in Nero

I've burnt a a mixed mode CD in Nero which comprises data and a wav file on
to a CDR. I can get Real Player to play the audio bit and it plays ok in my
home and car cd player. However, Windows Media Player (version 10) can't play
it. Does anyone know why?

PS I am using Windows XP Home, Nero 6 Re-loaded & WMP 10

Because WMP is a load of crap. A friggin' waste of space.
