I looked up help for this and got:

Server to Client Behind a Firewall
A firewall configuration that allows users with the Windows Media
Player behind a firewall to access Windows Media servers outside the
firewall is:
Streaming ASF with UDP
Out: TCP on 1755
Out: UDP on 1755
In: UDP between port 1024-5000 (Only open the necessary number
of ports.)
Streaming ASF with TCP
In/Out: TCP on port 1755
Streaming ASF with HTTP
In/Out: TCP on Port 80

This is all Greek to me...how do I change these settings? I opened Media
Player and couldn't see where to change the settings.

Your instructions are for other firewalls--not XPs. Firewalls are only
concerned with who spoke first. That is, if Media Player makes the first
communication, the response will come back, regardless of what ports are
blocked.

Since XP's firewall doesn't block outgoing communications, Media Player will
have full reign.

Hmmmmmmm, OK when I clicked on a video to play/stream, nothing happens. I
can click on play but no buffering, nothing.

Using WMP9
The video just started streaming after about 3-4 mins! Why so long? Any
suggestions?
