Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error

When I try to burn an audio CD, a message screen pops up and says that Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error.

ME TOO!! its bugs me because ive tried everything and if anyone has an answer i would love it thanx

I am having the same problem I have tried everything and I cant figure it out.
Did you guys ever get an answer to your question? If so what was it?

The system CD burner that WMP uses is a toy. If you want to burn CDs
reliably, invest in Nero - it's very much worth it. Otherwise,
