Windows Media Player for Vista Doesn't Work

WHen I Click on a music link that says windows the song won't automaticly
play with the media player, haw can i fix this?

What does happen?
What happens if you try to run Windows Media Player directly?

Nothing It won't start at all. If i click on the media player it will open
but won't stream music from web sites.
