How are you downloading the media player. Are you downloading it via windows
update or via the download link on windows media player home site.
Please describe the details that you are getting when downloading windows
media 11.
To get streaming video on your media player you should be able to have
access to the streaming port. To do that, open media player 10. then navigate
to the Tools | Options.
then select the network tab. Make sure that all the options Multicast, udp,
tcp, http and use port 7000-7007 to recieve media is checked. that should
help you. if not then you will have to check your firewall settings with your
administrator to check if streaming video is permitted.
