Windows Media Player can't find a sound device??

This is so annoying...Usually it dispalys a message about a missing codec I
exit WMP run a AC3 Filter then I open WMP again and it stops asking for a
codec but now it displays the following message:"Windows Media Player cannot
play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might
not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by
another program, or it might not be functioning properly." I do all the
things asked by WMP Help but no change.

Do you have a Creative (Soundblaster) audio device?
