Windows Media Player cannot play the file

I am trying to play a video on the internet and when I
click on the link to go to it, comes back with
the Windows Media Player
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is
either corrupt or the player does not support the format
your are tyring to play.
Can you please tell me what is wrong? The movie was
originally in MPEG format I imported into premiere and
made some changes and then exported it into avi and tried
mpeg and both versions came up with the same window.
Help.
